Whoa! 400000-800000円 - thats like 4000$ An extra zero there??
Amazing connections sometimes, huh? your "complicated-relative of an ex of a friend" connection is perfect in japan, as long as something is connected. And you had an amazing night out of it! Lucky you!

My guess is the night ran between 400000-800000円　($400-$800), but I really have no idea. I didn't want to go into much detail about the guy that footed the bill; he's very kind, very rich, and not at all shady but probably not into being blogged. I knew him (or more like, met him that night) through a complicated relative-of-an-ex-of-a-friend-of-a-friend type thing.

Needless to say, I don't regularly hit these sort of spots.

I've spent a lot of time in Ginza, mostly at night, and haven't had the pleasure of seeing any of the rough housing you had, but then again I don't stray into the backstreets too deeply.

I like Ginza, but I've grown to feel bad about that. The fact that most of the stores even exist there, i.e. the ones that sell ¥500,000 handbags and dresses, and homelessness exists seem a blight on society. I am working on an essay and photo story about this topic.

Anyway, Ginza used to have the most comfortable Starbucks in the whole city, complete with fake fireplace and couches around it! Unfortunately they redecorated and got rid of the fireplace and only a few couches still remain that single Japanese dudes hog by lying down and sleeping on them!

Still, Ginza is a good escape from the crowded sidewalks everywhere else in Tokyo, as the former has wide swaths to walk upon.

Plus the Apple store there. I often go there to see live music performances, for free!
